4. Side features

We've now hit the end of what we're going to achieve with 2D contouring operations - while they're ridiculously powerful when properly applied, there are things that they won't be able to do with them after this point. Here, we're going to finish the side features, clearing the way for us to focus on what are typically the most complex elements in five axis machining jobs - surfaces.
