7. Text Engraving

In this lesson, you will learn how to create text engraving on a part — a process that is quick and convenient in ENCY. We will engrave the text "ENCY" on a selected surface of the part and program its machining using a V-shaped cutter.

You will master:

• creating and positioning text in Model Space, including alignment, offset, and resizing;
• moving the text along the Z-axis using spatial transformations for precise placement on the desired surface;
• creating an engraving operation in 2D Engraving mode, utilizing the V-Carving function for deep and clear letter filling;
• setting top and bottom height levels according to the text placement on the part;
• simulating the result with a clear and clean visualized inscription.

This lesson will show you how easy it is to add personalized details and markings in NC, including names, serial numbers, or logos.
