1. Creating a Turning Project

In this lesson, you will learn how to set up the working environment for turning operations in ENCY. We'll import a tool table and the part model, and correctly position the stock relative to the chuck of the MaxTurn65 lathe with sub-spindle support.
You will master:

  • importing and verifying the tool table for the project;
  • loading and orienting the 3D part model using spatial transformations;
  • positioning the part and creating a cylindrical stock with the required material allowance;
  • simulating stock clamping in the chuck and checking size accuracy.

This lesson prepares you for programming turning operations on a lathe.
