3. Threading, Hole Machining

In this lesson, we’ll cover the setup of external threading and hole drilling operations on the part.
You will learn how to:

  • define the threading area using manual positioning and configure key parameters, including thread pitch;
  • verify and simulate the threading operation for precise control of the result;
  • select and assign drilling tools for different drilling stages;
  • set up drilling strategies using chip-breaking cycles to improve quality and safety;
  • adjust drill length compensation to ensure accurate through-hole drilling;
  • create boring operations using a flat milling tool with step-by-step material removal;
  • understand the importance of correct parameter settings for safe and efficient machining.

In the next video, we’ll move on to flipping the part and machining the back side. See you then!
